a quick review of Taylorallderdice
So this is my first review and what better to start with than what I consider one of the best mix-tapes released in the last couple years….Taylorallderdice!! If your aren’t familiar with Wiz Khalifa’s work he is a relatively new artist to hit the mainstream. Although he has been around since about 2006 making mixtapes and alike, he only really hit the big time in March of last year with the release of his album Rolling Papers, which has since made him a household name. Taylorallderdice is his new mix-tape, released almost exactly a year after Rolling papers and seems to be doing just as well, when it became available so many people tried to download it that the server shut down! This just goes to show how much of a following Wiz has developed over such a short time, and how eager we all are to snap up anything that resonates in the ‘Taylor Gang’ lifestyle. The whole sound and feel of this mix-tape harks back to his earlier work, and have been compared to stuff like ‘Star Power’ and ‘Kush & Orange juice’ (which are arguably his best pieces of work). The new collaborations with artists like ‘Juicy-J’ and ‘Lola-Monroe’ bring a fresh new feel to the ‘rustic texture’ of Wiz’s vocals, this mixed with some hard hitting hip hop beats makes for an absolute classic. In my opinion Taylorallderdice is 17 tracks of pure ‘Taylored’ gold, I know i’ll be listening for a long time, great for a chillin sesh or goin to a party, this mix-tape is fit for all occasions.
